"I believe that you, the client, are the expert of your life, and that within in the framework of our therapeutic alliance, you have the ability to access your inner resources and experience personal change."

I am a Licensed therapist (LMHC), a WA approved Counselor Supervisor, and a certified Perinatal Mental Health Counselor (PMH-C) in Spokane, Washington. I specialize in perinatal mental health, infant and pregnancy loss, PTSD/trauma, body image/food relationship and recovering from religious/spiritual abuse. I am also a trained EMDR therapist. In my practice, I use a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including EMDR, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and person-centered techniques. I believe that every individual has the capacity to heal and grow, and I am committed to helping my clients tap into their inner strength and resilience. One area of focus in my practice is postpartum anxiety and mood disorders. I support my clients in identifying and developing strategies to manage symptoms and build a stronger sense of self as they navigate parenthood. I also have a special interest in working with parents that experience birthing trauma, medical trauma, and pregnancy and/or infant loss.

In addition, I work with clients who are navigating the struggles with body image, fat acceptance, and/or relationship with food. One of the components of my approach is a focus on body acceptance. I believe that true healing comes not from trying to change one's body to fit a certain ideal, but from learning to accept and love one's body as it is. Through a variety of techniques, including body-centered mindfulness practices and cognitive-behavioral interventions, I help my clients develop a more positive relationship with their bodies and cultivate a greater sense of self-compassion.

Finally, I specialize in working with clients who are experiencing a faith crisis. Whether due to changes in their personal beliefs, a loss of faith in their religious community, or other factors, a faith crisis can be a deeply unsettling and isolating experience. I help clients navigate these complex emotions and find a path forward that feels authentic and true to their values.
