The Spokane Counselor is looking to add empathetic counselors who are willing to provide comprehensive care and treatment for mental health struggles. We are currently looking for therapists willing to work with postpartum families, trauma, and teens. Supervision is available for associate therapists.

This is an opportunity for you as an associate clinical therapist to play an important part in helping families navigate the postpartum period within the private practice setting. Working as part of our team, you’ll use your training and skills to provide evidence-based care to clients, deliver instruction and psychoeducation for new parents, and also provide therapeutic care for a variety of mental health issues. In addition to client care, you’ll have opportunities to expand clinical skills through continuing education and supervision.

As part of The Spokane Counselor, you will be primarily responsible for conducting an initial evaluation to appropriately assess depression severity and treatment recommendations. After determining goodness of fit, you will provide ongoing therapy and care to clients.

Additional responsibilities include:

Conducting outpatient individual therapy

Facilitating outpatient group therapies and psychoeducation classes (delayed due to pandemic).

Self-advertising

Effectively managing a case load

Completing treatment plans and case notes in a timely manner (24 hrs for case notes post-session)

Attending training

Attending supervision with onsite supervisor

Completing Assessments

Seeing a minimum of 10 clients per week (may include some evening hours if unable to fill load in the regular 8-5pm slots).
Required Experience:

Master's degree in mental health related field

A current associate license (LMHCA or LMFTA).

Proficient Computer skills

Preferred Experience or Interests:
-
Experience working with postpartum mothers and families (or interest and ability/ willingness to complete training in this area)

Experience treating trauma or PTSD. Preferred training in EMDR or Trauma-Focused CBT

Experience with children (ages 10 and up) and teens

Telehealth
​
This is a W-2 position aimed at helping associate therapists gain their supervision hours in a specific area of interest. The therapist is paid an hourly wage. The therapist must be able to provide therapy via telehealth from their home. In-person visits are a possibility but telehealth should be the preferential care.
