Emily McNichols MA, LMHC, LMFTA

With specialized training in EMDR therapy, I help my clients work through traumatic events in order to achieve mental wellness and healing. My expertise in this modality ensures that I can assist clients in addressing the root causes of their emotional distress and lead them towards healthier, more balanced lives.

In addition to EMDR, I hold certification in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I employ evidence-based CBT techniques to assist clients in modifying thought patterns and behaviors that may be contributing to their emotional struggles. My practice is firmly grounded in trauma-informed care, creating a safe and nurturing environment for clients to explore their emotional challenges. I'm attuned to the complex and individual nature of trauma, recognizing that it can have far-reaching effects on mental health. By being trauma-informed, I prioritize the psychological safety and emotional well-being of each client in every aspect of our work together.

I have an extensive background as a school therapist, working with adolescents and adults dealing with a wide range of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, and trauma. My experience in educational settings equips me with valuable insights into the unique challenges faced by individuals in various life stages.

Together, we can embark on a journey of healing and growth, one step at a time.
